(The moon is full under a starry night in the vast Mulgore plains. A wolf howls as a gathering group of perhaps five Tauren gather around a fire, all looking at one apprehensively. She is a heifer with fur as dark as midnight and eyes red, resembling those common to the Shadowhoof tribe) Sit, if you wish, as I tell the story of how I came to this world, and how I formed to be as I am today. The humans encroached upon our small village within the Shadowhoof territory that was already being hounded by the nearby centaur. Our defenses were sure to fail and although my mother fled with me in my infancy, my father stayed to destroy the intruders. As my mother made her way across the plains, only with the clothes on our backs, she was stopped by a group of humans. As she fell in her desperate fight, her corpse fell over me to leave me unharmed as she hid me. The next morning a Bloodhoof scout was inspecting the small battlefield when they heard my cries. As soon as they found me he realized I was a Shadowhoof. Although he had been instructed to kill any Shadowhoof on sight during the harsh, war-ridden times, he didn't harm me. Instead, he took me to the nearest village and gave me to the chieftain who took pity upon me and adopted me. He raised me as a druid and sent me on my own at a relatively young age. The reason for this was because of the constant harassment I received --and still receive-- for being a Shadowhoof Tauren. Thank you for listening to my tale as it stands today...
