Not long ago, there roamed a tribe of indigenous Tauren Hunters, who thrived off of the land they had hunted and lived off of. Nomadic within the southern Barrens, this tribe was known as the Earthspear, named after the weapon that its chieftain at the time received from his honored ancestors. The Earthspear was a weapon used by one of the greatest Tauren hunters, and so the chieftain of this tribe of hunters used the spear to unite them into what they would be known as one of the greatest tribes of Hunters and Warriors.
They made their settlement into the southern Barrens, a large camp that bustled with all of the Earthspear kin. However, after a while the Centaur in the south took notice, and began to raid the settlement constantly at night.
The Tauren tribe stood their ground and after each attack, rebuilt what they had lost. However, it wasn't until the settlement was entirely vulnerable did the tribe suffer its heaviest loss: near destruction. The Earthspear guardians and warriors had joined with the Horde to fight in the great war, and this gave the Centaur a great chance to attack. The entire settlement was wiped out, its people slaughtered. Those Earthspear that joined with Thrall and the Horde never returned to the land they fought so hard to protect.
However, near the ruins of the old campground, only a single male emerged to find his home destroyed. Huatar Earthspear, the only son of the late Chieftain, was sent away to complete the last of his rites, his final trials into Adulthood, when the attack happened. What he found was his home destroyed, his friends, family, and kin slaughtered.
Since then, Huatar traversed the lands alone until he arrived in Mulgore, where the rest of his Tauren brothers and sisters had settled following the great war. He took up his blade that he had gone through much to acquire and decided to join the fight for the Horde.
And now, after all of his training and service to the Horde, Huatar returned to the ruins of his former home, gazing upon it; seeing what was once and never will be. He picked up the spear of his people, and raised it high into the sky. From there, it was clear.
The Earthspear will rise again.
