After uttering his final goodbyes over the miniscule totem hung around his neck, Huatar had finally laid himself down on the fur rug on the ground of Bloodhoof's Inn. For moments, he had thought of his trial; his calling had already been given to him, but all that had remained of him to do was to seek out his respective spirit. But how, he wondered...
After moments of thinking, his eyes slowly drifted asleep.
At first, he saw nothing. A complete darkness overtook him in his deep slumber. Then, he saw a bright light...and soon, he found himself walking across the golden savanna of the Barrens, grass all around him. No violence, nothing that could threaten him...A peaceful dream. Huatar continued to walk, keeping ever wary of his surroundings - despite that knowing nothing will ever happen to him in his sleep, he always kept himself alert and cautious.
Off in the distance, he noticed a soft glow. As he moved himself closer to it, the glow became more distinct. And soon, he found himself staring at a picturesque wolf, transparent in appearance, staring directly back at him. As he came closer, more features of it could become apparent - bright, clear and snowy fur with azure orbs for eyes. Its gaping maw was in a pant as it looked back at him. All Huatar could do was stare back at it.
Eventually, he heard a voice in his head, one that denoted a very wise being.
"Are you ready to accept your calling, young one? Are you truly to walk the path of the Wolf?"
Huatar could only nod. At this, the wolf got on all fours and stepped toward the Tauren Chieftain. It sniffed him for a few moments, then nodded. In an instant, Huatar felt himself become enveloped by an overwhelming force, lifted off of the ground. The energy swelled, and after only a few moments he found himself on the ground. The wolf spirit had disappeared.
And it had been completed. All he had to do was speak with sister Lekashna...But after this much-needed rest...
(( I rushed this, so it's definitely not one of my best works. ))
